In 1997 Stan, AC8W,
and I again took our wives to Treasure Cay on Abaco Is.
in The Bahamas. This time Ken Rogner, N8KR, and his wife Debbie
went along for
CQ WW CW. We rented a three bedroom, two bathroom house from Ken
Helton,
KC4SZE/C6AHN. This fine "rent-a-shack" came with a 2 element 40M
beam and a
5 element triband beam on a 60 ft tower. There were also 1/2 wave
dipoles for
80M and 160M.
We did much
better from this place than in 1996, mostly because of the antennas
and having the third operator really helped too!
